Arsenal could reportedly compete with Liverpool for the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
Alcantara has declined to sign a new contract with Bayern beyond June 2021, and that is expected to pave the way for his departure.
However, the Merseyside outfit have been reluctant to meet the £23m asking price and that has held up the potential agreement between the sides.
According to The Mail, the Gunners have now joined the race for the player’s services, but they are in a similar boat to the Reds over the valuation.
Bayern are desperate to offload their midfielder rather than lose him on a free and they may be forced to reduce their price tag in the coming weeks.
