Arsenal could reportedly miss out on the services of Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes amid the interest from Napoli.
The Gunners have been keen on signing the Frenchman this month and reports have emerged that they have reached an agreement over the transfer fee.
However, a deal is still far from completed with Lille said to have a gentleman’s agreement with Napoli, which gives them the first priority to sign the centre-back.
The Serie A outfit need to sell Kalidou Koulibaly before making their move for Gabriel and Calciomercato claims that they are in the progress of parting ways with the Senegalese.
The 29-year-old has been offered to Manchester City for around £63m and the Naples outfit are optimistic that they can push through the transfer in the coming days.
In this case, they would be in pole position to sign Gabriel ahead of the Gunners. The defender is currently said to be assessing his options and has the preference for a move to the Serie A.
