Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the proceedings of Manchester City defender Eric Garcia ahead of a possible approach during the winter transfer window.
Garcia was touted to leave the Cityzens for Barcelona last summer, but the Catalan giants could not afford the £30m price tag.
The Blaugrana are set to return for Garcia at the turn of the year, but they may still struggle to meet the financial demands.
Of course, they can sign him on a pre-contract with his current deal expiring in June 2020, but The Sun claims that the Gunners are also interested.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta had watched the progress of Garcia at the Cityzens and he could push for a reunion next month.
Garcia has started in successive Champions League matches, but he has made just one league appearance since the end of October.
He is doubtful for the Manchester derby this weekend after being forced off with a leg injury against Marseille on Wednesday night.
