Barcelona are reportedly confident of securing the services of Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer.
The Dutchman has managed 225 appearances for the Reds over the past five years, but he could be on the move this summer.
His current contract expires in June this year and reports have claimed that there has been a breakdown in negotiations.
According to Football Insider, Wijnaldum has a contract offer on the table and the Blaugrana are very close to signing him.
It is added that the deal is ’95 percent’ done and the club are waiting for the Dutchman to put pen-to-paper on the pre-contract.
Wijnaldum could be reunited with Ronald Koeman, who had previously managed him in the Netherlands national side.
Aside from the Dutchman, the Blaugrana have been tipped to sign Eric Garcia on a free transfer after his Manchester City deal expires.
Sergio Aguero has also been linked with a move, but he recently happened to dismiss the speculation while speaking to fans on Twitch.
