Barcelona have reportedly dropped their interest in signing Marcos Alonso from Chelsea during the current transfer window.
Alonso has been frozen out by Blues boss Frank Lampard and he has not made a single appearance since the end of September.
A recent report claimed that the Blaugrana should make an attempt to sign the Spaniard with Junior Firpo potentially making the move to AC Milan.
However, the Rossoneri have now ended their pursuit of the Spaniard, as per Fabrizio Romano and he is expected to stay put at the Camp Nou.
Hence, Alonso is no longer on the radar of the Catalan giants and he could remain with the Blues unless there is any interest from other sides.
The Blues are willing to loan out Alonso for the rest of the season, but any interested club would have to pay part of the player’s wages.
Napoli and Inter Milan were previously keen on his services, but there have not renewed their interest this month.
