Barcelona are aiming to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero when his contract expires in the summer.
The Argentine has been with the Cityzens for nearly a decade where he has gone on to become their all-time top scorer.
His future has been a regular talking point in recent months with his contract expiring in June and the Blaugrana are reportedly keeping tabs.
The Catalan giants have debts of more than €300m with a negative working capital of around €602m, as per El Confidential.
Hence, they are not in a position to spend big on a new striker and that may rule out a possible move for Inter’s Lautaro Martinez.
Instead, they may look to bring his compatriot Aguero, who has loads of experience and has previously played for Atletico in Spain.
Prior to joining the Cityzens, the 32-year-old turned out 234 times for the Madrid giants, contributing 101 goals in the process.
Aguero is currently on the sidelines after contracting the coronavirus.
