Brazil international Alex Telles is reportedly determined to join Manchester United before the transfer deadline on October 5.
The left-back enjoyed a superb 2019/2020 season with Porto where he registered 13 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.
According to The Guardian, Telles is eager to join the Red Devils this summer and he is hopeful that the club can reach an agreement with Porto.
He currently has a £37m release clause on his contract and United are currently looking to negotiate a lesser fee for his transfer.
Telles came close to joining Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer before they made the decision to extend the contract of Layvin Kurzawa.
United have lacked the presence of an attacking full-back in their squad and Telles would provide a boost in that aspect.
He can be fancied to replace Luke Shaw in the starting lineup, considering the Englishman has struggled to impress in an offensive point of view.
Porto are most likely to sell Telles this summer, given his contract expires in less than 10 months’ time.
