Chelsea are reportedly the front-runners to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero on a free transfer.
The Argentine will leave the Cityzens when his contract expires at the end of the season, and he is on the radar on several clubs.
According to The Mail, the Blues are hoping to win the race to sign the 32-year-old, who they failed to pursue 10 years ago.
It is added that they are prepared to meet his salary demands while the striker is said to welcome the prospect of remaining in England.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest, but Aguero is expected to turn them down with their bitter rivalry with City.
Meanwhile, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are among the overseas clubs interested in the Argentine, who has netted 181 Premier League goals.
At Barca, Aguero has the chance to be reunited with compatriot and close friend Lionel Messi. He is unlikely to choose his next club until the summer.
