Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is reportedly on the cusp of joining Napoli on a season-long loan.
The Frenchman has spent the past two seasons on loan with AC Milan and AS Monaco respectively and he will now make the temporary move to Naples.
The midfielder was initially keen on a move to Milan, but the Rossoneri were unable to find a suitable agreement with the Blues.
He has now agreed to join Napoli on a short-term deal where he will be reunited with his former Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso.
The Blues were hoping to offload Bakayoko on a permanent deal, but there were no suitors willing to match their £25m price tag.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli are only expected to sign him on a temporary basis and don’t have the option to buy him.
His current deal with the Blues expires at the end of next season and the club are likely to have to sell him for a knockdown fee next summer.
