Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland has been identified as a top priority for Chelsea for next summer’s transfer window.
The Blues purchased Timo Werner to bolster the strikeforce in the summer, but he has largely played in the wide attacking positions.
The Frenchman’s current deal expires in June 2021 and he may be tempted to head to the Serie A with the long-term interest from Inter Milan.
In such a case, they should pursue another marksman and Sky Sport Italy claims that they will make an ambitious move for Haaland.
Haaland has been in sensational form since arriving at Dortmund last winter and he has bagged 33 goals from just 32 appearances in all competitions.
The 20-year-old has a £65m buy-out clause on his contract which does not become active until June 2022.
The Blues may have to pay a club-record fee of more than £100m to tempt Dortmund into a sale next summer.
Manchester United and Real Madrid are also understood to be long-term admirers of the Norway international.
