Everton have confirmed the signing of James Rodriguez from Real Madrid for a reported fee of around £22m.
The Colombian has signed for the Merseyside outfit on a two-year contract with the option for another 12 months.
He has become the club’s second major signing of the summer after the arrival of Allan from Napoli earlier this week.
The club have agreed on the transfer fee with the Hornets after weeks of negotiations and the Frenchman will return to the top-flight.
Rodriguez has experienced a tough couple of seasons due to multiple injury concerns and the fierce competition for places.
He will have the guarantee of regular first-team football with the Toffees, and hopefully, he can put his injury troubles behind him.
The 29-year-old will have plenty of expectations in his debut season after becoming the club’s highest earner on wages of £200,000-a-week.
