Everton are reportedly ahead of West Ham United in the pursuit of experienced Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira.
The 33-year-old has not played a single minute for the Bianconeri this term and it is quite clear that he is not in the plans of Andrea Pirlo.
Hence, he is expected to leave either January or next summer when his contract with the Italian champions concludes.
According to Calciomercato, the Toffees have moved ahead of the Hammers in the race to sign Khedira, who has previously worked with Carlo Ancelotti.
The duo were together at Real Madrid and it is reported that the midfielder is keen to reunite with the legendary Italian manager, who has been the Toffees boss since December 2019.
Ancelotti recently rubbished the transfer link with Real Madrid’s Isco and it won’t come as a surprise if the Italian denies any speculation associating the club with Khedira.
