Everton have reportedly identified Daniel James as a potential target for the January transfer window.
The Toffees started the current league campaign in fine form with 12 points from four games, but they have since picked just one more point from the next four matches.
According to Football Insider, Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to improve the club’s attacking options in January and James is one of the players being monitored.
The Welshman has struggled for playing time with the Red Devils this term and he has been limited to only five appearances across all competitions to date.
He still has more than four years remaining on his contract with the Red Devils and the Toffees’ best chance of signing him could be on a temporary deal for the season.
Everton are scheduled to face Fulham on the road in Sunday’s Premier League encounter. They have missed the services of Richarlison out wide due to a three-match ban, but he will be available this weekend.
