Chelsea are on the cusp of signing Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen after he underwent a successful medical over the weekend.
The Blues have already agreed to pay an initial £72m fee to Leverkusen and it is only a matter of time before the transfer announcement is made.
Havertz is currently on Germany duty, but SportBild reporter Christian Falk has revealed that he has already undergone his Blues medical.
The 21-year-old made the trip to London on Sunday and he is understood to have finalised the necessary formalities at the Cobham training centre.
Havertz is set to become the Blues’ sixth major signing of the summer transfer window and will take their spending spreee to more than £200m.
The club could continue their spending with Frank Lampard looking for another defensive midfielder and a goalkeeper to replace Kepa.
