Inter Milan have identified Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum as a potential target ahead of the January transfer window.
The Dutchman has less than seven months remaining on his contract and he has yet to agree to terms over an extension.
He will be free to speak to foreign clubs next week and FCInterNews claims that Antonio Conte‘s side are interested in signing him.
Wijnaldum can agree a pre-contract with an overseas outfit at the turn of the year and Inter are prepared to engage in talks with his agent.
Aside from the Nerazzurri, Barcelona have also been heavily linked with his services due to the presence of ex-Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman.
Koeman has personally admitted that he would like to work with Wijnaldum at the club level and the Blaugrana may make an offer of their own.
Wijnaldum has been a regular starter for the Merseyside giants despite the lack of progress in contract talks.
The Premier League holders are unlikely to consider his permanent sale in January, even if they risk losing him for free next summer.
