Former Chelsea star Joe Cole believes the club should move for the services of Erling Braut Haaland in the summer.
The Blues are currently fourth in the league standings, but they are a staggering 20 points behind Manchester City for the top spot.
The west London side are presently in a decent position to secure Champions League football, but their initial expectations were higher.
Speaking to BT Sport, Cole said that the Blues need a striker of Haaland’s calibre, who can make them genuine challengers for the title.
“They need one player for me, Haaland. He’s on the wish-list. He’s a No 9. There’s so much in this squad – there’s quality in all areas, such a strong squad,” he said.
“You just need that one sparkle of magic, that No 9, that focal point, and it will change this club getting back to the glory days of challenging for the title regularly.”
The Blues are unbeaten since Thomas Tuchel was appointed as the manager in January. They have drawn four and won six of the last 10 league games.
They are presently in the fourth position with 51 points, three ahead of West Ham United, who have a couple of games in hand.
Meanwhile, Haaland has been in sensational form for Borussia Dortmund and he has netted 31 goals from just 30 appearances this term.
