Incoming Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on landing the signature of Donny van de Beek from Manchester United this summer.
Mourinho was recently appointed as the club’s new head coach, and he will take the position from Paulo Fonseca at the end of the campaign.
According to Calciomercato, the Portuguese will make multiple signings this summer, and he is eyeing several Premier League stars.
Van de Beek is one of them on his radar, and he is hopeful of landing his signature for around £26m when the transfer window reopens.
The Dutchman joined the Red Devils for £40m from Ajax last summer, but he has played just over 1200 minutes of first-team football.
This has led to speculation regarding his future with United, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has called for patience with the midfielder.
United have no plans to entertain any offers for the 24-year-old, and are likely to reject any bids during the summer transfer window.
