Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that midfielder Jordan Henderson and defender Trent Alexander-Arnold won’t face Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend.
Alexander-Arnold picked up a calf problem during the 1-1 draw at Manchester City before the international break and he still appears far away from returning to the first-team fold.
Meanwhile, Jordan Henderson was withdrawn midway through England’s game against Belgium with a tight hamstring and he has now been ruled out of the Foxes clash.
“We will see, [but] Hendo not and Trent [Alexander-Arnold] not, that’s clear. All the rest we will see,” He told in the pre-match briefing via the club’s official website.
Alongside the duo, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also out injured while Mohamed Salah will miss the encounter after testing positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, midfield duo Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara may feature against Brendan Rodgers‘ side on Sunday night depending on the outcome of the late fitness test.
