Leicester City are reportedly on the cusp of signing Odsonne Edouard from Celtic.
The 23-year-old has had another fine season with the Hoops, registering 20 goals from only 32 appearances in all competitions.
His current contract expires in less than 16 months’ time and reports have previously linked him with a move to Arsenal.
However, according to The Mail, the Foxes are said to be winning the race for the marksman and they could land him for just £15m.
Rodgers had a good relationship with Edouard when they were together at Celtic and the striker is seen as a long-term replacement for Jamie Vardy.
The former Paris Saint-Germain graduate was valued at around £40m last summer, but his value has tumbled amid his contract status.
Meanwhile, the Hoops have also been affected financially due to COVID-19 and there could be a flash sale with several more departures.
