Leicester City have reportedly identified Nicolas Tagliafico as a potential candidate to replace Ben Chilwell, who is close to joining Chelsea.
The Foxes were previously demanding at least £80m to part ways with Chilwell, but they have eventually accepted a lesser fee.
According to The Guardian, the Blues have won the race to sign Chilwell and a deal worth £50m has been finalised for his transfer.
It has now been revealed that the Foxes are lining up a replacement and they have earmarked Tagliafico as the number one target.
Tagliafico has a gentleman’s agreement to leave Ajax this summer and he is likely to be available for a fee of around £22.5m
The Argentine has impressed in the Champions League for a couple of seasons and he could prove a quality addition to the Foxes backline.
