Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement to sign defender Alex Telles from Porto.
The Red Devils have been in regular contact for the player’s services in recent weeks and they have eventually finalised a deal.
Earlier this week, Porto were reluctant to accept less than £25m for Telles, but they have finally agreed on a reduced £18m fee for the left-back.
Telles attracted interest from the likes of PSG earlier this month, but he made it clear that he wanted to make the move to Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old is set to become the club’s second signing of the transfer window after the arrival of midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax.
The Red Devils are expected to be active on deadline day particularly after the embarrassing 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
They are currently in talks with Edinson Cavani over a free transfer. The Uruguayan could sign for them on a two-year deal in the next 24 hours.
