Manchester United and Manchester City could go head-to-head to land the signature of Pau Torres from Villarreal this summer.
Torres has been linked with a Premier League move for the past few seasons and he is currently on the radar of the Manchester duo.
According to M.E.N, Red Devils head coach Ole Gunnar Solkjaer is eyeing a left-footed centre-back and has his sights on landing Torres.
Meanwhile, Cityzens manager Pep Guardiola is desperate for another central defender and Torres is one of the top names on his wishlist.
Torres has made more than 70 appearances for the Yellow Submarines since graduating through the club’s youth system.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with Real Madrid in the past and they could compete with the Premier League giants for his services.
Torres has more than three years remaining on his current deal with the La Liga side. He reportedly has a release clause worth £42m on his contract.
