Manchester United have been told to pay around £25m in order to land the signature of Alex Telles from Porto.
The Brazilian has emerged as the prime target to bolster the left-back position and a recent report revealed that he has already agreed personal terms.
According to Correio da Manha, Telles has a release clause of £37m on his contract, but Porto are willing to accept a lesser fee, given his contract expires at the end of the season.
However, they are still reluctant to accept anything less than £25m, considering they will lose quarter of the amount due to agent fees and a sell-on clause inserted when Telles joined them from Galatasaray.
United have yet to show any intention of meeting the asking price. They had recently attempted to offer Diogo Dalot as a makeweight for Telles, but the offer was immediately rejected by Porto.
Dalot made the breakthrough with Porto before making the move to the Red Devils in 2018. The Primeira Liga outfit are not keen on a reunion with their ex-graduate.
