Manchester United are unlikely to get their hands on Ousmane Dembele in January following the recent injury setback for Ansu Fati.
Dembele was heavily linked with the Red Devils this summer, but a deal failed to materialise before the transfer deadline.
It was recently reported that they could make a fresh attempt in January, but Sport claims that they may be forced to delay their pursuit.
Fati is expected to be out for at least four months following a surgery for a serious knee injury and that should improve Dembele’s gametime.
The Frenchman has been a regular off the bench, but he should cement a starting role in the coming months with Fati on the sidelines.
Dembele has struggled with injury concerns in each of his previous three seasons with the Blaugrana, but he has remained unscathed this term.
Ronald Koeman will be hoping that the attacker can stay fit with the hectic schedule coming up after the international break.
