Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the developments of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek ahead of a potential move for his services.
The Dutchman has been an integral part of the midfield plans at Ajax, but he has a gentleman’s agreement to leave the club, if the right offer comes in.
Van de Beek did not play any part in Ajax’s recent friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt and manager Erik ten Hag confirmed that the midfielder could be on the move.
Barcelona have been heavily linked with his services due to the presence of Ronald Koeman, who has previously managed Van de Beek at the international level.
However, the Red Devils are also monitoring his situation and could enter a bidding battle with the Blaugrana for his signature in the coming days.
United are prioritising the purchase of a right winger this summer, but they are still open to landing a versatile midfielder with a creative presence.
