Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing Hakan Calhanoglu on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The Turkey international has been in fine touch for the Rossoneri this term and he has registered four goals and four assists from eight outings.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the playmaker has yet to agree to a new contract with the Rossoneri and he could walk through the exit door when his contract expires in June next year.
It is added that the Red Devils are monitoring his situation closely and could seek to negotiate a pre-contract with him when he enters the final six months of his contract in January.
Calhanoglu made the switch to the Rossoneri from Bayer Leverkusen three years ago. He had contributed 27 goals and 40 assists for the club from 137 appearances to date.
The 26-year-old has excelled from the number 10 position this term, but he is also comfortable playing on the left side of the attack or in a central midfield role.
