Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has provided a fitness update on Sergio Aguero ahead of the Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night.
The Argentine returned from a hamstring injury to face Marseille in the Champions League last week. He managed just 23 minutes from the bench, but was able to find the back of the net.
However, he was not involved in the Manchester derby at the weekend and his presence was definitely missed as the Cityzens played out a lacklustre 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.
Ahead of the Baggies game, Guardiola has revealed that Aguero had suffered a minor recurrence of the same issue, but he has returned to training.
The Spaniard was, however, non-committal over the Argentine’s involvement on Tuesday, he told: “Today he was training but in the last two or three days he could not train so we will decide tomorrow.”
The Cityzens are currently ninth in the Premier League standings with 19 points, six behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur with a game in hand.
