The Gunners have been heavily linked with the player’s signature in recent weeks, but they are yet to finalise a deal.
Their opening bid of £32m has been rejected and reports claim that they may need to pay around £45m to sign the Lyon midfielder.
Amidst this, Aubameyang has spoken positively about Aouar by saying that the club are in favour of him.
“Of course we are in favour [of signing him], I will not hide it! Even if he is at Lyon!,” he was quoted as saying by Canal +.
The 22-year-old registered nine goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Les Gones last season.
He has started the new campaign on a slow note with no contributions, but has still been fancied to secure a bigger challenge elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also looking into a deal for Thomas Partey. They will need to trigger the £45m release clause on his Atletico Madrid contract to sign him.
