Tottenham Hotspur are confident of landing the signature of Joe Rodon from Swansea City before the EFL transfer deadline on Friday afternoon.
The Wales international has been tipped to join Spurs in recent weeks and Football Insider claims that there has been a breakthrough in transfer talks.
Spurs’ initial offer of £7m was turned down by the Swans, but they have now made an improved bid of £15m for the central defender.
The Championship side are looking for around £20m for their graduate, but it is reported that Spurs are growing optimistic of landing him.
The north London side are reportedly prepared to pay the cash upfront and could loan back Rodon to the Swans for the rest of the season.
Leicester City have recently expressed an interest in signing him, but they are unlikely to make an offer until January or next summer.
