Arsenal defender William Saliba could move to the Championship on loan before the domestic transfer window closes on October 16.
The 19-year-old signed for the Gunners from Saint-Etienne for £27m last summer, but he was immediately loaned back for the 2019/2020 season.
However, he struggled with injuries during the course of the campaign and managed only 17 appearances across all competitions.
Saliba featured for the Gunners in pre-season earlier this summer, but he has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has hinted that the centre-back needs more time for transition and it appears that he could be loaned out.
Saliba came close to rejoining Saint-Etienne on loan on deadline day, but there was not sufficient time for the deal to go through.
Hence, he could now make the switch to the Championship, considering top-flight clubs can trade with EFL sides until October 16.
Arsenal will face Manchester City in their next league outing.
